Contentment

Contentment -- how impoverished a word
To express the riches shed abroad through Christ!
'Contentment' hints that meagre is the gift,
But 'meagre' does not suit eternal life.
In grace and fulness, far beyond my inklings--
Thus El Shaddai supplies my every need.
'Tis not contentment, O my soul, thou lackest,
But heart to comprehend His love to thee.
